As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will be a pivotal member of our team, instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge web applications. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering consumer-grade and enterprise applications that drive success and expand our own product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain complex WordPress websites.
• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
• Customize existing themes, plugins, templates, and WordPress core functionality.
• Build responsive websites from Figma/PSD/UI designs.
• Develop and customize WooCommerce websites and e-commerce functionalities.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, shipping services, and external platforms.
• Work with WordPress REST APIs and other web services.
• Develop custom functionalities using PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and production bugs.
• Optimize websites for performance, scalability, security, and SEO.
• Perform WordPress migrations, upgrades, backups, and version updates.
• Work with MySQL databases and optimize database queries where required.
• Manage website deployment and server-related development tasks.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain clean, reusable, and scalable code.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, project managers, and other developers.
• Independently analyze requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• 3–5 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress CMS.
• Excellent knowledge of PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Strong knowledge of:
  • WordPress Theme Development
  • Custom Plugin Development
  • WordPress Hooks, Actions & Filters
  • Template Hierarchy
  • Custom Post Types & Taxonomies
  • WordPress REST API
  • AJAX
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL.
• Experience with WooCommerce customization and development.
• Experience with Elementor or other WordPress page builders.
• Good understanding of responsive and cross-browser development.
• Experience with Git/version control.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

API & Integration Experience

• REST API integration and development.
• Payment gateway integration.
• Third-party CRM/API integrations.
• Social media and marketing tool integrations.
• Custom form and lead-management integrations.
• Experience working with JSON/XML-based APIs.

Performance & Security

• Experience with WordPress performance optimization.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms and CDN.
• Experience optimizing database queries and website assets.
• Understanding of WordPress security best practices.
• Knowledge of SSL, DNS, hosting, and server configurations.
• Experience identifying and resolving website performance bottlenecks.

Good to Have

• Experience with custom WooCommerce development.
• Knowledge of advanced JavaScript/jQuery.
• Experience with Elementor Pro.
• Knowledge of SEO-friendly development practices.
• Familiarity with Linux, Apache/Nginx, and cPanel.
• Experience with website migration and server deployment.
• Knowledge of Git workflows and CI/CD is an advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech, BCA, MCA, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science/IT or a related field.
• Strong practical experience in WordPress development is preferred.
